Let's all plant a Khordiafy time capsule!

Every class in your pan-European Khordiafy schools cluster plants a time capsule...for the next 80 years!

🌍 Khordiafy 2105: Respecting the Past, Building a Future of Amity.

Khordiafy was inspired to include this time capsule activity after reading of the UK children of Marske-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire who buried their own time capsule 'somewhere" in August 2025. Thanks kids! Holgate High School near Nottingham UK influenced the 'past, present, future' momentum.

2025 marks 80 years since the end of World War II.
To honour this milestone, schools in multi-country Khordiafy clusters across Europe can join forces in a powerful act of remembrance and unity through .

🕰️ What is the Khordiafy Time Capsule Project?

• One school from each European country curates a time capsule filled with student-created artifacts, letters, artwork, and digital memories.
• Each school shares its capsule’s contents with the others, creating a continent-wide archive of youth perspectives.
• On a single coordinated day, all capsules are buried—one per country, but united in purpose.

📅 Why 2105?

Just as 2025 is 80 years after 1945, 2105 is 80 years from now.
This symmetry reminds us that peace is not inherited—it’s built, generation by generation.

💡 What does “Khordiafying” mean?

It’s a mindset of:
• 📚 Historical reflection – learning from the past to avoid repeating it
• 🤝 Cross-border empathy – understanding each other’s cultures and challenges
• 🌱 Future-oriented thinking – imagining and shaping the Europe we want to live in

🧭 The Impact

That every child in each class of every school in a Khordiafy cluster is involved
The buried capsules become silent promises:
That today’s youth will not permit the divisions of the past in their future
And that tomorrow’s citizens will open them with curiosity and delight.
